FISHING TRAVEL PACKING LISTS
Knowing what to bring on a fishing adventure is important. The following links will give you comprehensive information to help you pack your bags for your next fishing trip. Not all items are necessary for every trip. Some fishing lodges provide nearly everything you'll need, while others require you to bring a lot of items with you. It's always best to call or email if you have questions.
ALASKA - Southeast for salmon and halibut in saltwater.
ALASKA - Freshwater - Flyfishing and spinfishing in Bristol Bay for rainbow trout, and salmon
BELIZE - Flats fishing for tarpon, permit, and bonefish.
BRAZIL - Peacock Bass fishing on the Rio Negro, Madeira, and other Amazon River tributaries.
CHILE - Flyfishing in Southern Chile for rainbow trout and brown trout.
GUATEMALA - Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Dorado, Snapper and other species on the Pacific side.

Almost all of our lodges have excellent tackle for our clients to use.
People still sometimes like to bring their own equipment. In some cases, it's a good idea!
I recommend carrying at least one travel rod/reel with you in your carry-on luggage. Some airlines allow line on the reel, some will make you remove it at security. The best bet is to pack the fishing line or flyline in your checked bags.
